WELCOME INTRO

These pages are some thoughts, ideas and research into Men's style. We'll keep it light and breezy while hopefully sharing helpful guideposts to finding your most stylish approaches to life. We are 100% here to help if we can - without aiming cheap shots at any existing style you may or may not currently have. Another tone we'll steer away from is one that implies style and fashion actually matter in the big picture of life when of course, they don't really.

What's the point then? As with anything, a small discovery at skin deep can help unravel more important things within us. Perhaps if style deals with the superficial, we may find that while we aim to make changes to our appearances and social impact we learn more about ourselves than we planned - or maybe we'll just be glad to find a new shirt.

The goal here is to widen the lens for anyone interested in finding a new style for any reason or occasion. Perhaps a guy is interested in a fresh look for his interview or first date or a wife is looking for a tie maker for her husband. Unsure about jewelery on a guy? Tattoos? Perhaps you have a speech to deliver at a wedding and some tips would be welcome. Maybe you need to be able to dance at a Ball or Salsa Club and wonder what moves can get you by...hopefully some answers at least will be found here...

Shoes to Cruise 2

This week's post is hopefully full of examples of what kind of shoes dress up well with jeans. The only problem is that it's almost exclusively taking shoes from the same store. Before you sense a cop-out on our part please let us explain: Too often smart shoes with jeans are just too business like. Business shoes have their place with trousers and suits but jeans need a shoe that has an element of edge, attitude, character or fun even when the occasion is potentially more sophisticated.

The store, Aldo, gives us sweet feet that will get you through almost all situations and you won't feel over-dressed if the occasion is less than what you expected. Again, we're doing smart as it relates to jeans, not a suit and tie and Aldo hits this mark better than anyone and gives tons of choice with it. Aldo makes' Jean Smart' fun because it gets more creative than the 'Suit Smart' shoes you might try to swing with your jeans, a dress shirt and suit jacket. If you're in Miami and you feel a million dollars you could even go with white snakeskin - Aldo even has that shoe for you. For now, let's imagine an art exhibition at a gallery, an informal interview for a job where employees dress more casually or you're heading out on a group date when you're not 100% on the venue. Not sure how plush the restaurant will be? Check these babies out for size:
